A boat trip around the island of Malta and Comino can be booked in any travel agency. You can’t possibly miss a travel agency, because they have an eye-catching facade. There are especially many in Sliema near the coastline as well as in Paceville.
The starting point of the cruise is Sliema. The price is €40. For children below the age of 12 it will cost €22.

Overview of the boat trip around the island: The island cruise takes around 8 hours. From Sliema it goes southwards passing the Grand Harbor and Valletta on the way to Marsaxlokk (small calm fishing village), after it goes to the Blue Grotto, continues at the Dingli Cliffs over to the Popeye Village. Afterwards it continues to the southern tip of the sister island Gozo - Gozo‘s Mgarr Harbor can be seen - and then it takes a 3 hour stop at the Blue Lagoon in Comino where you can swim, sunbath or go for a walk. It’s really nice there. Afterwards it goes back to Sliema. On the last part of the journey you will pass the cities of St. Julian’s, Paceville and Sliema. It’s a nice view.

Casinos
There are four larger casinos on Malta. The best known is the Dragonara Casino in St. Julians/Paceville. Some people even come all the way from Sicily with their yachts to gamble here.
Marsascala
Marsascala lies south-east of Malta and resembles the sight of St.Julians, or vice versa. Marsascala has a nice, deep inland going bay. The bay is surrounded with a promenade. Unfortunately, the city isn’t a good starting point to discover Malta, because of its bad location and infrastructure.
Winter in Malta
Malta is often described as a nice summer-country with sunshine, beaches and blue sky. However there is another side of Malta - the winter. For the first time you will feel winter coming in December and you have to endure it till February/March. January is the darkest and possibly coldest month in the year/winter. This month has the rainiest days, the least sunshine-hours and the lowest temperatures.

There is no frost or snow but mostly strong rain showers and winds. That’s not even so bad, but there are some other factors which make this worse.
