Carnival in Malta
Carnivals in Malta, as we know them now, were first organized shortly after the Knights of St John came to the Island in 1535. The first that really broke out into the general jollification was probably the Carnival of 1560, when a massed Christian Armada was harbour-bound in Malta before sailing to Tripoli. ... more

Plaza Shopping Mall
The Plaza Shopping Mall lies in the centre of Sliema and is similar to Bay Street in Paceville, however the flair is much different. The reason for this difference is probably that BayStreet is influenced very strongly by the nearby entertainment centre and nightlife of Paceville.
Life and Work in Malta
Whoever wants to come to Malta to live and work here should first try to get a work permit. Malta is a member-state of the European Union, however the island is very small and to protect the citizens and the economy special conditions were introduced. Except of this it’s nothing special. There are numerous real estate agents. The commission fees are quite low (the price of half month’s rental fee).
Mdina - the old capital
Mdina is the old capital city of Malta and lies on the south-western part of the island. You could say only a little bit in the outback. Beside it is Rabat. The population of Mdina is around 400 people. It is quite impossible that the population can increase, because the whole city resembles more a castle or fort then a city. The city lies 190mtrs above sea level (that’s quite high for Maltese landscape) and is surrounded with slopes on three sides. The city has almost the form of a square and is very strong fortified.
