Peters pool
Peters pool is a small sheltered bay in the south of Malta. Reaching this bay is not very easy. No buses go through; even with a car its not straight forward. On one hand the way to reach the bay is not signaled very well and on the other hand the road is very narrow. In some places almost too narrow for just one car to pass through and traffic passes both ways!
Since the road is almost a kilometer long, chances are that another car will be driving from the opposite direction – thats when life really becomes complicated!!! Foreigners would probably find some difficulties in that situation.
The bay is however very beautiful. Though mainly visited by Maltese only, on some occasions one can see the odd tourist on the bay. There isnt a real beach there but rocks and cliffs from which one can jump into the sea. One should be careful however from where to jump as some areas are shallower than others – its better to ask the Maltese for directions to the best jumping spots.
Many Maltese go there to spend all day and some even camp there. They set-up small tents and bring along their grill and cook a BBQ.
Bus route number 627 and 427 drive close to the bay, the remaining 2-3Km must be travelled on foot.

Carnival in Malta
Carnivals in Malta, as we know them now, were first organized shortly after the Knights of St John came to the Island in 1535. The first that really broke out into the general jollification was probably the Carnival of 1560, when a massed Christian Armada was harbour-bound in Malta before sailing to Tripoli.
