Golden Bay - probably the most beautiful beach in Malta

Golden Bay is situated in the northwest part of the island. The beach is somewhat difficult to reach, since it lies quite remote. However it is worth the strain, as seen on the pictures; -). Sun, sand and sea. The beach is very large and extends itself far into the sea. The bay offers stunning scenery with its beautiful rock. Sunset at this beach is breath-taking. Also a range of boats are offered, like: Motorboats, Banana boats, small sailing boats, etc.

A brand-new hotel, The Radisson SAS Golden Sands, is located right on the edge of the cliffs. The location offers the perfect calm and balanced vacation to be spent here. For those, who like partying and city life it is not really the best spot as the next city is approximately 3 - 4 kilometers away.

Bus: 47The bus-system is very easy to understand. A bus always goes two ways, either to Valletta or from Valletta away. In front of the gate of Valletta there is a huge roundabout - that’s the main bus-terminus in Malta. Some buses are also directly linking two cities between the north and south, but most of the buses are stopping in Valletta.

Bay Street

The Bay Street shopping mall consists of 3 floors and houses shops for following products: Clothing (Mexx), books, restaurants (Argentinean Steakhouse, McDonalds), cafes, bars (Hard Rock Cafe), an arcade gaming centre (Jokers Family Fun for kids/teens and adults) and much more.

Sights in Marsascala

Marsascala does definitely not count as a place with numerous sights and a long history, however as a foreigner there are some things to see. Here are some of the sights which can be found in Marsascala:

Blue Grotto

The Blue Grotto is situated south-westwards of Malta, in Wied iz-Zurrieq (Zurrieq’s Valley) on the outskirts of the city Zurrieq. It is worth seeing. The best way to discover the Grotto is via boat. With the boat trip you will enter some of the grottos. The glassy, blue water is especially nice.
